In 2019, Siplast assisted with an expansion of the pedestrian walkway areas atop the landmark Seattle Space Needle. The expansion was designed to create larger viewing areas.
In addition to the desire for an extremely durable, high-performance product suitable for pedestrian traffic, Siplast’s Terapro PMMA liquid-applied waterproofing was selected for the product’s fast cure time and to account for the Seattle weather. The fast cure time meant the walkway areas could be returned to service quickly, being completed and cured during rain-free windows. The Terapro PMMA formulation was therefore installed seamlessly in the cool Seattle evening temperatures.
