Fast Company: Something amazing happened when an L.A. neighborhood covered its roads in solar reflective paint
Fast Company highlights the impact of the GAF Cool Community Project in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacoima, where GAF’s solar-reflective pavement coatings were applied to more than 1 million square feet of surfaces. A study by Altostratus Inc found that GAF’s coatings were found to cool ambient temperatures by up to 3.5ºF during heatwaves, building on earlier findings that the coatings reduced surface temperatures by about 10ºF.
