When the iconic tent-shaped roof of Circus Circus in Las Vegas needed repairs, contractors relied on custom GAF coatings to give the structure a fresh new look.
Restoring an iconic Las Vegas hotel
Since 1968, Circus Circus Hotel and Casino has stood out as one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most defining landmarks. But after years in the blazing desert sun, its distinctive pink and white striped roof had faded—requiring a solution that would not only repair the surface but also revitalize the vibrant colors of its signature tent.
A vibrant, long-lasting solution
Given the roof’s size, steep pitch, and unique shape, the project presented a challenge that required extensive planning for safety, design, and execution. GAF provided technical support and premium products for the restoration, which included the application of multiple high-performance coatings: BarrierGuard, Unibase Primer, High-Tensile Acrylic Top Coat, and Kymax Coatings custom-formulated to match the roof’s original, vivid colors.
The new roof protects against extreme Las Vegas heat, wind, and weather conditions, while bringing new life to the landmark.
