This L.A. neighborhood’s ‘cool pavements’ help it beat the intense heat

NBC News highlighted how GAF is addressing urban heat and making a positive impact in the community of Pacoima, a neighborhood in Los Angeles.

GAF collaborated with nonprofits, community organizations, and local officials to apply the solar-reflective coatings as part of the GAF Cool Community Project, and has plans to retrofit homes with cool roofing in the next phase of the project.
