Outfitting a Ski Resort with Schiedel Stoves

For a new resort in the German Alps, Center Parcs chose Schiedel KINGFIRE stoves to perfect a mountain chalet ambiance.

High standards and expectations

Park Allgäu, a skiing, hiking and family vacation destination by developer Center Parcs, straddles the borders of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, the Alpine mountains of southern Germany.
Subject to both jurisdictions’ regulations, down to the fire codes and chimney sweeps, Center Parcs was intent on getting everything right the first time.

An elegant stove solution

Center Parcs sought wood stoves to outfit 500 new luxury cottages. The Schiedel KINGFIRE Classico stove and chimney system offered the optimum combination of beauty, safety, and efficiency. With a large window and small footprint, KINGFIRE stoves lend rich ambiance to a cozy cottage.
Schiedel outfitted the stoves with special cleaning doors and back wall insulation to meet the site specifications. Working together, the team overcame tight production and installation logistics to turn a mountain resort vision into reality.

Facts:

  • Park Allgäu is located a short drive from Neuschwanstein Castle.
  • To meet timelines, the stoves were installed on slabs prior to completion of the cottages.
  • KINGFIRE chimney integration with BMI roofing materials facilitated rapid installation.
